GROW YOUR BUSINESS & LAUNCH AN INTERN'S CAREER

So, you’ve done the Keyboard CEO course. Now what?

It was an amazing experience and you have lots of ideas. Perhaps too many ideas. And you could perhaps do with some help?

Well we may have a solution to help you on your way.

Firstly we have created a Keyboard CEO: Post Course To Do List PDF with some of the inspiring action points we noted down from the course. And yes, it is a bit overwhelming. Which is where our virtual interns come in.

Our virtual interns are looking for international work experience and would love to get involved with a small and dynamic entrepreneurial company like yours. They are looking to gain hands-on experience of digital marketing while improving their English skills. They are typically early to mid 20s, with undergraduate studies and above, intermediate English, and are ambitious.

Should you trust us? Well, over the last 15 years we have placed over 8,500 students in over 950 companies from over 30 countries. So, you could say that we know what we are doing.

Recognise this formula from BJ Fogg? B = MAP

In a bid to put our learning into practice, we are now going to try and nudge you over the action line into the world of taking on a virtual intern.

What is the behaviour that we want?

For you to take on one of our fabulous virtual interns.

And for you to launch and grow your business because of their help.
And for you to go and tell all your friends.

And at the same time, for the intern to have a wonderful time and to launch their career.
So that they go and tell all their friends.

And then our business will grow.
Win, win, win!

Motivation

You don’t want this to just be another inspiring course that leads to great intentions but you don’t follow up.

You need help. But you don’t have money to pay someone. A highly motivated virtual intern could be the answer. Not for everything, but for somethings. Such as: carrying out online detective work to get super clear on your Betty; researching your niche for that fabulous report/cheat sheet/whitepaper that is going to build your tribe and be your Skyscraper; and collect and curate the Pure Gold that is going to form part of your social media strategy.

David and Mike have spoken a lot about how the best writers are the best researchers. And research takes time. And sometimes it is useful to have someone else gather the information together, so that you can then digest and turn it into strategic thinking. An intern can’t do all of it, but with the right guidance and clear direction they can do a lot of the heavy lifting.

Interns can also help you with lots of other time consuming marketing tasks such as:

  • sourcing copyright free photographs on Unsplash
  • designing social media content on Canva
  • creating email newsletters using MailChimp
  • updating your website using WordPress
  • scheduling posts on Hootsuite;
  • and carrying out competitor research online

Ability

Will it be work? Yes. An intern keeps you on your toes.

They want to do stuff. And you need to give them clear tasks. But by being Taskmasters, they also get YOU doing stuff, so that THEY have stuff to do. And at the end of the first month you might surprise yourself at how much you have got done.

And we can help. We have been working with interns and people like you for over 15 years. And we know that the key to win-win is clarity (or crispification as Mike would say). Which is why we have put together a To Do list of tasks that an intern can help you with. It might also be a useful list anyway, it’s just if an intern doesn’t do it, who will?

You also get to be a giver. It’s good karma. You will be providing an ambitious young person from anywhere in the world with an opportunity to launch their career. By giving them rich work experience and a chance to practice their business English, you could change their life. While also growing your own business.

 What companies say

We consistently get great feedback from companies about our students:

“ Greta had a great level of enthusiasm, and many of the colleagues in the office commented on her amazing level of keenness.  Her level of English was phenomenal - if Greta was staying in the UK I would be offering her a job. She was a fantastic fit for our company and we really enjoyed having her here working with us. She was extremely capable and surpassed our expectations.”
Carrie Morgan, The Sales Way Ltd, Manchester

“We are very happy with Victor - he has quickly become a part of the team, and we will start some interesting projects this week and he will be in charge of them.”
Sergio Ardu, La Tua Pasta, London
